The integration with PhillipCapital means users of Iress software can execute global stocks and ETFs on 14 exchanges through the PhillipCapital network, according to a release.
The solution allows clients to trade Australian and global stocks from a single account and access advisor and client reports.
Kirsty Gross, managing director of financial markets at Iress, said the platform provider was pleased to partner with PhillipCapital.
“We know that our clients are increasingly looking for brokerage arrangements that facilitate global trade, and this integration enables that,” Ms. Gross said.
PhillipCapital Australia managing director John Miles said until now trading global stocks and ETFs had been difficult and expensive for local businesses.
“Our goal has been to create a ‘localized’ solution so that international trading is as simple as trading Australian stocks,” Mr Miles said.
“The solution had to look local, be easy to access and administer from both a business and customer perspective. We’re excited about what this means for the local market and how it will increase the ability of Australian businesses to trade overseas.
