The mother of two children found dead at their home in New South Wales’ Blue Mountains earlier this week has been charged with murder.
NSW Police said in a statement on Friday evening that around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, after a report of concern for the well-being of a woman and two children.
Police will say the bodies of the two boys, aged nine and eleven, were found inside the house by their father, who had access to the house but did not live there.
Police said the boys’ 42-year-old mother was also found in the home with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics treated her at the scene before she was taken to Westmead Hospital in police custody in a critical but stable condition.
The woman was discharged from hospital on Friday and taken to Parramatta police station, where she was charged with two counts of alleged murder linked to domestic violence.
Police said she was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
