Larvotto reports discoveries of high-grade gold and antimony

Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) has announced final results from its reverse circulation drilling program at the Clarks Gully deposit, part of the company’s Hillgrove Gold-Antimony project in New South Wales. The results indicate the potential for resource expansion, with high-grade intercepts discovered beyond current resource limits.

The program, which included 59 drill holes totaling 4,469m, aimed to fill and expand the existing mineral resources at Clarks Gully, currently measured at 266,000 tonnes at 10.6 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq), including 3.8% antimony (Sb) and 2.0 g/t gold (Au).

Among the top intercepts from the latest batch of analyzes were:

  • CLG124: 22 m at 9.87 g/t AuEq, including 10 m at 16.76 g/t AuEq and 4 m at 28.31 g/t AuEq.
  • CLG122: 16 m at 10.63 g/t AuEq, including 6 m at 17.38 g/t AuEq.
  • CLG123: 17 m at 3.07 g/t AuEq, including 3 m at 7.02 g/t AuEq.

Ron Heeks, Managing Director of Larvotto, said: “In the final results released today, we encountered further spectacular intercepts…with individual results in excess of 10 g/t Au and 20% Sb. » He noted that gold and antimony mineralization at Clarks Gully remains open at depth and to the north, and there are plans to incorporate the results into an updated mineral resource estimate in early 2025.

The intercepts, he added, show “very large, high-grade zones” that will feed into the company’s definitive feasibility study, which is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

Shares closed up 15.12% yesterday at $0.50.
